Linda Murray - Lessons & Office Manager

I was born and raised in the Castleford/Buhl area.  I attended Bethany University in Santa Cruz, California, where I pursued a music degree.  I have travelled extensively as a singer and piano accompanist for various musical ensembles and choirs.  I have also directed choirs, produced television presentations of Christmas musicals and taught in schools ranging from grades preschool through high school. I have taught voice,  piano, composition and music theory for over 30 years. I am committed to grounding my students in music theory and also encourage composition as part of the student experience.  I have been a staff member at MVSPA for six years and also serve as the office manager and bookkeeper.

I am married to a local pastor who is also a teacher.  We have four children and six grandchildren.  I enjoy gardening, decorating and reading.
