Three-Year olds-Kindergarten - Sparks
During the midweek, Sparks will build on what the children learned on Sunday by using the same Bible story and key verse. The class encourages learners to grow in their faith by providing meaningful activities, great discussions and personal challenges. Our midweek class helps children grow closer to God, one another and mentoring adults. Sparks will start in room 102.
First - Third Grades - Shapin’ Up
Shapin’ Up = Combining Fitness, Nutrition and the Bible
Emphasizing nutrition and physical activity choices, not weight control or having a particular body size or shape. Shapin’ Up is centered on 1 Corinthians 10:31, “Whatever you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God”. Meets in the Surge room.
Fourth and Fifth Grade - Grapple
This is a time where 4th and 5th graders connect in class… and online during the week! Preteens will grapple with questions they care about-from “Why do my parents always say no?” to “What would Jesus play on His ipod?” They will get in-depth Bible background to answer their toughest questions in meaningful ways so they understand and own their faith. Meets in room 300.
Midweek Re-Charge for Parents - Scripture tells us that God gives parents the primary responsibility for forming Christ-likeness in our children. As a parent it is good to know that you are not alone! We will be having a Parenting Bible Study at the same time as the children’s programs in room 211. We will be using Kevin Leman’s new series “New Kid by Friday”. It is vital that we face the challenges of raising Christ-like kids in today’s time together.
