The Mustard Seed mission is to influence our community by providing ministry opportunities and generating resources to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of individuals in the Magic Valley.

Our community outreach programs include:

Energy and rental assistance
Emergency food distribution
Beds for kids
Bicycles for basic transportation
Clothing and household shopping vouchers
Medical equipment for loan
Free Saturday meals
Free “Brown Bag Sunday” meals

The thrift store provides low cost quality merchandise for our customers. Donated merchandise is prepared for resale by our many volunteers. Proceeds from the thrift store sales, support our ministry outreach programs.

Feed the Need

Every year for the month of February, our congregation partners with Mustard Seed Food Pantry, to impact the Magic Valley. Every year at this time, Mustard Seed Food Pantry is low because of high demand for the holiday season. TFRC collects food items to fill the food gap to help families in need. This year we donated over 6,694 food items!

The high cost of basic items is making it more difficult for families to put food on the table. Through Feed the Need, we can make a difference for Magic Valley families in need of food. For more information contact Kristy, kristy@tfrc.org 208-733-6128 ext. 109.

School Blessing

TFRC started a new mission in 2021 by adopting Perrine Elementary School throughout the school year. All teachers are required to provide supplies for their rooms out of their own pocket and often provide supplies to children that are unable to afford school supplies. We wanted to bless the teachers with classroom supplies and some extra school supplies for during the year. Items can be dropped off every Sunday in the Octagon.

We are committed to praying for the teachers, support staff, and students, and at the start of each year we will go to the school campus and pray for them and for the safety of the school for the next year. This will allow members at TFRC to show the importance of education to us, as people of faith. Thank you for supporting one of our local schools, Perrine Elementary School!

Grow Hope

Grow Hope’s primary goal is to bless the Twin Falls refugee community with a place to grow quality organic produce for their families’ nutritional needs. We allow local refugee families to plant in the land behind the church property. This program blesses the families who are often from low income homes. Moreover, the refugee families have the ability to plant produce from their countries of origin that they would not be able to find in grocery stores around town. Through this service, we aim to demonstrate the love of Jesus as we “feed those we see who are hungry” and in doing so also serve Jesus (paraphrase Mathew 25:37-40).

Grow Hope’s secondary goal is to bring awareness to the TFRC community of the refugee members of our Twin Falls community and in turn, encourage volunteering and support for them. For more info call Kristy 208-733-6128 ext 109.

Kids' Zone

TFRC Kids’ Zone was started to bridge the gap in the community for childcare by providing a Christ center environment to meet that need. This ministry provides a safe and secure place for children to learn and grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Kids’ Zone offers:

Child Care from birth through 5 years old
Half day Preschool for 3 & 4 year olds
Kinder Readiness
After School Programs (ASP) for children Kindergarten to 5th grade. (Our ASP students come from Hansen, Filer, Buhl, Perrine, Harrison, Rock Creek, Morningside, Gem Prep, and Xavier Elementary Schools)

Our Mission is to provide a nurturing environment that sparks the love of God, learning, and healthy relationships using imagination, constructive play, and educational Christian curriculum. The Kids’ Zone creates a community where children learn to relate to others, to value friendships, and to respect all people while teaching Christian morals and values.
